Description:

NORTHEAST DALLAS. This cafeteria-style BBQ place is popular with locals for its down-to-earth, laid-back atmosphere. Highly energetic employees take orders at a fast pace, so be ready to request meat and veggies on the spot. It's important to go with an empty stomach, because your plate will be filled with more ribs, sausage, turkey breast, or brisket than you could possibly fathom! Dig in at a picnic table, and enjoy country music playing in the background. Finish up with coconut cream pie or banana pudding. |

| | This is probably the best barbeque I have ever had (Richardson location, I think they have many locations). The ribs were delicious and the rolls were brought hot from the oven to my table every couple of minutes. I hope they will build in Houston. The general manager Gary and the staff were outstanding. |

| | One of the better BBQ joints in the DFW area! |

| | We go for the ribs. Oh, I know, there are other choices on the menu; but, we go for the ribs. And here's the rub. Two times out of three they're smoky, meaty, and plentiful. But that third time can be a real bummer. Not much flavor, much more bone than meat, and not enough to satisfy a ten-year-old. When they straighten this out, I'd rate the food excellent (the beef is good, the poultry very tasty, and the veggies are way better than adequate) and the value waaay above average... By the way, you can't eat just one roll. It's tough enough to eat them with butter, but when you dip them into the meat sauce, look out waistline. |
