Description:

DOWNTOWN. Raymond and Patsy Nasher were avid art patrons, acquiring vast sculpture and fine art collections that eventually became the foundation for both Duke University’s Nasher Museum of Art and Dallas’s Nasher Sculpture Center. The Sculpture Center is a carefully planned museum seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor galleries – it’s actually reminiscent of an archaeological site, but is thoroughly modern, producing a fascinating dichotomy. The collection is fabulous, including works by greats like Pablo Picasso, Auguste Rodin, Jean Arp, Constantin Brancusi, Max Ernst, Willem de Kooning, Alberto Giacometti, Jasper Johns, Jeff Koons, Joan Miró – the list goes on and on. |
