The minimalist interior features simple table and bar seating in order to place focus on the exquisite food. In fact, presentation of some of the city's freshest seafood is so breathtaking that diners have been known to comment that they didn't know whether to eat it or frame it. | | Omakasi style at Mori Sushi is different. I thought they were the best but not after the way we were treated last Dec. 30. The sushi chef attending to us didn't give us the real "omakasi" sushi dinner. They were giving preference to the other ladies at the bar that night...I thought, the chef and staff will take care of you when you do the Omakasi dinner. Unfortunately, not at Mori. I felt cheated and not respected. Waiters were not very helpful and unfriendly. They said, it's what the chef chooses to serve. Yeah, but we only got the "ordinary" sushi servings for an Omakasi price and the other ladies at the bar that night got the real "omakasi" servings...Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills is far, far better than Mori. |
