SANTA MONICA. This unique complex, housed in a historic train depot, is home to the Santa Monica Museum of Art, plus numerous art galleries, shops and services, and a café. You'll find plenty to occupy you, probably for the better part of the day. The museum exhibits works from emerging and established contemporary artists, and there are usually two shows at any given time, including a room size multi-media installation. There are over 25 galleries to browse, and several boutiques to scour for that perfect gift. When you need a break, the café will set you up with a glass of wine and a gourmet sandwich or salad. |
