This amazing shopping and sightseeing area of Montréal evolved, in part, as businesses and shopping centers opened below-ground levels to connect to the Metro. Over the years, the area evolved into a warm, inviting mecca for tourists and now offers an array of lodging, dining and shopping features. Although the place may get you turned around occasionally, it remains a great place to shop and tour while escaping slushy winters or rainy summer days. Beneath downtown in sections under the McGill, Peel, Bonaventure, place-des-Arts and place d'Armes Metro stops. |
