Parc Linéair le P'tit Train du Nord
(Attractions & Activities - Outdoor Activities)
100, rue de la gare La Maison du Tourisme des Laurentides, Piedmont  J0R 1K0 • 450-224-7007 • 800-561-6673
Distance: ~50.194 km from Fairmont Tremblant
Description: ST-JÉRÔME. Each year, thousands of mountain bikers and hikers take to the Laurentides to enjoy the beauty and challenge of the intense vertical climbs. One of their primary destinations, Parc Linéair le P'tit Train du Nord, has an interesting history. As the name suggests, this 200-kilometer trail was once the route of a train that brought tourists to the region. When the rail system dissolved approximately 25 years ago, a group of naturalists and trailblazers helped to preserve the line's history by turning it into a "linear park" with access to quaint mountain villages like Val-David and Mont-Tremblant. Several companies offer a variety of tour packages, from cross-country skiing in the winter to multi-day hikes in the summer. The Tremblant access point is located behind the village's old train station (Place de la Gare).
