WEST TORONTO. Wow. Just…wow. The Queen (otherwise known as Stephanie Pick) started out making tarts and pies. Sinfully silky chocolate-chipotle, sophisticated pear-frangipane, sweet-tart lemon meringue pie, fresh raspberry pie with vanilla cream. Today, she has expanded to include an array of stylish, contemporary cakes, such as the pistachio dacquoise and vanilla sour cream cake with Bourbon vanilla buttercream, and classics like chocolate truffle cake. Creativity runs rampant among the gingerbread people, however – these things are whimsical, colorful and sometimes downright funny. Plus, they taste good. |
