The Toronto Islands are an experience not to be missed while in Toronto! You leave the concrete and hustle of the city and take a short ferry ride to the peace and tranquility of "another world". Stroll through the lush greens and beautiful gardens and along the sandy beaches on Lake Ontario or take the kids to Centreville amusement park for some fun... Bring along a picnic lunch to enjoy in the beautiful park setting. Rent a bike and explore the islands, from the homes on Wards Island to historic Hanlans point where Babe Ruth hit his first professional home run. This is an area of Toronto that is often overlooked but should not be missed!!!
