A wonderful place for children and parents alike, the Zoo is one of the best and most affordable places in the city for a stress free family outing. Equipped with a new water park designed for younger children, a petting zoo of farm animals, pony and camel rides and of course all the exotic zoo animals, the Metro Zoo is hot spot for parents in the know. The equipped with so many activities, the Metro Zoo is an excellent choice whether you are planning a full day or short visit. If you're planning more than one visit in the year, buy a yearly pass, which will save you money in the long run and will allow you and your family to gain entrance to the park quickly. Though the Zoo does have a number of fast food restaurants, I recommend packing a lunch and snacks to save money and for convenience. Lastly, the Metro Zoo is also one of Toronto's best-kept winter secrets. With about half a dozen large in door pavilions filled with a variety of exotic and colourful plant life, the zoo offers a warm respite in cold winter months.
