The Fairmont's signature dining room is elegant with a touch of the rustic in its wood paneling. Canadian cuisine is the forte, and the menu is simply amazing. Start with an indulgence such as pan seared Quebec foie gras with Thai chili-vanilla poached pear and maple-dusted fry bread. Then, for a fun and dramatic presentation, select the roasted bison filet (for two) with Crown Royal-saskatoon berry jus, prepared tableside. Alternatively, opt for the pistachio-flax crusted rack of lamb, or a mixed grill of bison filet, lamb chop and Tiroler bacon with minted apricot-pear relish. The Velvet Glove is Winnipeg's only Four Diamond CAA/AAA restaurant. |
