Take Pride Winnipeg strives to promote and beautify the city. The murals you see around town are one of their projects. Like many cities, Winnipeg was struggling with graffiti, and the murals serve as a deterrent. Since 1994, there have been more than 200 Take Pride Winnipeg-commissioned murals created on the sides of buildings throughout town, depicting historic scenes, landscapes, abstracts and portraits.
