Set in what used to be the hotel golf course's clubhouse, this restaurant lies a few steps from the Banff Springs' main building. Its menu is dedicated to authentic German cuisine, so you'll find venison, trout, roast duck, short ribs and wiener schnitzel to choose from. Fondues depart from the theme just a bit but are popular for their novelty and their great taste. A few meatless dishes also satisfy the vegetarians in the group. A patio is available during the summer; beer, year round. |

The Waldhaus is the perfect location for a romantic evening or dinner with a group of friends. The atmosphere is reminiscent of an old hunting cottage with a large fireplace and a temperature controlled wine cabinet which holds an extensive selection of wine. |

| | Due to our love of German food, we seek out German restaurants wherever we travel. We were excited to find one in Banff, and were looking forward to dining there. We were disappointed with the food, and value. The service was excellent, and the ambiance charming. |
