CLERMONT. Parc des Grands-Jardins offers a wide range of activities for outdoor lovers. Hikers can expect to tromp through everything from gradual wooded areas to sub-arctic terrain – just keep in mind that the park is home to healthy populations of black bears, moose and even caribou. One of the most scenic trails makes a steep, four-hour ascent to Mont du Lac des Cygnes, which seems like the roof of the world. The closest access from La Malbaie is via the Thomas-Fortin Visitors Center (418-457-3945), open daily from June to August, 9am-5pm. |
