Hugging the slopes of Crowfoot Mountain, these glacial fingers are a popular tourist attraction. Years ago, there were three extensions of the glacier, and they reached much further down the mountain than they currently do. Weather conditions in the last half-century have altered the attraction so that now there are only two sections, and the crowfoot analogy is no longer appropriate. Still, tourists stop to view the site, and the allure of the glacier still runs strong. About a 30-minute drive from Lake Louise. |
