MONTEBELLO. The pride of Le Château Montebello, the competitive Club de Golf, ranked as Québec's second toughest by "Canada Golf Magazine," was completed in 1931 under the guidance of Stanley Thompson. Featuring a wide range of difficult holes – some with wide, rolling fairways and others with difficult lay-outs made harder by natural obstacles – this course requires golfers to have firm grasps on their bags of tricks. Holes of note include 522-yard number 4 and the par-3 number 9, which requires a crisp, accurate shot to get to the plateau green. |
