CHÂTEAU RICHER. Each spring, sap is gathered from maple trees, then boiled down to the sweetness and density of maple syrup. Sounds simple enough, but in fact it's rather a lengthy and complicated process that's ultimately dependent on fickle weather conditions. For perspective, consider that approximately 43 gallons of sap are needed to produce just one gallon of maple syrup! Learn all the particulars and sample the end products at this traditional "sugar shack." A variety of maple products are available for purchase, as well. |
