SAINTE-ANNE-DE-BEAUPRÉ. Built to take advantage of the water-power offered by seven waterfalls on the Sainte-Anne-du-Nord River, this 1912 hydro-electric station today doubles as a family / tourist attraction. Take a tour of the facilities and check out the interpretation centre, which utilizes historic photos, fossils and other material to illustrate the archaeology and geology of the area. Then enjoy a hike along three kilometers of trails and head over to the waterpark, where you can cool off in the wave pool or take an exciting ride down a waterslide. |
