SAINTE-ANNE-DE-BEAUPRÉ. Nestled on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, this Québec wildlife reserve offers a variety of activities for sportsmen. The park is a veritable heaven for bird-watchers, boasting everything from snow geese and raptors to warblers and hummingbirds. Several pleasant hiking trails crisscross the park, leading hikers through a wonderland of habitats and terrains. Guided tours may be arranged at the park office. If you're feeling truly fit, you can even make the 50-plus km hike from Cap-Tourmente to Petite-Rivière-Saint-François, a tiny village near Baie-Saint-Paul. Waterfowl hunting is allowed by permit only. Picnic and restroom facilities are available. |
