PEMBROKE PARISH. Ascot's has received international kudos for its innovative food served by an attentive waitstaff in a fine old 19th century home. The antiques, Queen Anne chairs and beautiful gardens (where you may dine under the stars) give the restaurant the feel of an old English estate. The menu is a fusion of Mediterranean and Continental influences that takes advantage of Bermuda's abundant fresh seafood. Try the blackened mahi mahi served with tomato, pineapple and lemon compote or an excellent grilled sirloin topped with port glaze and resting on a bed of roasted thyme polenta. Vegetarians will enjoy the mushrooms Diane – grilled Portobello mushrooms with spinach and cheese on a bed of grilled vegetables. Save room for dessert – the seasonal berries with Frangelico and chocolate ice cream are heavenly. |

| | Went to celebrate both a birthday and an anniversary and were happy we did. We never told the staff that we were celebrating, but they treated us as though it must have been a special night. We weren't rushed (in fact we closed the place) and they staff answered all questions in a knowledgable manor. Yummy food and a fantastic wine list. Happy couples and parties surrounded us - so we weren't the only table enjoying ourselves! |
