Description: DUPONT CIRCLE. You'll feel as if you've stepped into a café on the Champs-Elysée when you enter this bistro. Feast – beneath pressed tin ceilings and amid vivid French prints – on classic steak frites, salad Nicoise, open-face sandwiches, curried mussels, and smoked duck salad. The long bar, constructed of zinc like those in Parisian cafés, is a popular stop, with its variety of drinks and excellent wine list. Located next to an art theater, the bistro is a great place to dine before or after a show.

Great bistro with professional service. Incredibly varied menu with a nice wine list to complement the cuisine. However, music is too 'hip' and way too loud.

Why this place is so popular is a "mystery" to behold… Upon receiving my horrific meal, (a half chicken drenched in mystery sauce complete with "french fries", har har har...), I realized that a pesky gnat was enjoying my chicken before I even had the chance to loathe it. But now my time has come. Bland. Dull. Overpriced. Bird…. Furthermore, the music was "deafening" and sounded like what I can only describe as a "rubber chicken" stuck in a "leaf blower" with some French guy "yapping" on top. At least the Stella Artois was "good" and "cold"...plus the alcohol helped me to get through this "obscene" exercise in unjustified "fashionable" dining.

… It is loud, obnoxious, and terrifying… My friend told me that the food is "to die for.” Instead, it just made me want to DIE. I've had better chicken at McDonald's. On top of that, the service was ridiculous, and I swear I heard a busboy and a waiter making fun of my Dutch accent behind my back… I have spent a lot of time in Paris and I KNOW what a bistro is supposed to be like… Avoid! Avoid! AVOID!
