Description: WEST SEATTLE. Westsiders take pride in JaK's, whose name is actually an acronym for owners Jeff Page and Ken Hughes. Here, sizzling 21-ounce porterhouses, gargantuan burgers, and Caribbean-style pork medallions beckon with seductive aromas and accurate preparations. If red meat and chops aren't your bag, there are plenty of fish and seafood options. But be forewarned – unless you arrive very early, the wait can approach two hours, and reservations are not accepted.

I haven't lived in the Seattle area for five years, but when I did, I was able to enjoy eating at JaK's. If I remember right, my attendance was in their beginning. It's a quiet, out of the way, upstairs/downstairs restaurant, and my meal was always plentiful, at a fair and decent price. Rib-eye steak, glass of red wine, salad, coffee and cheesecake for dessert cost me $36, including the tip. The service was always great, nice people, very attentive! I would suggest this place to ANYONE who loves to eat a good steak. And yes, get there at opening, or you will wait!
