Description:
|
Simultaneously classy and casual, this bistro tempts Calgarians with its terrific cuisine, intimate charm, and original artwork. The Italian fare is robust and looks to pastas, chicken, and steak for its main courses. Bolstering the menu are items like herb-crusted salmon and grilled lamb. Divino also makes a terrific burger, whether it's crafted of lamb or Alberta beef, and you'll find a selection of soups and sandwiches as well. Given its reputation as a wine bar, Divino carries a host of vintages available by the bottle and glass. Most come from Italy, France, and the States, although you may find a few renegade bottles occasionally. Perfect for dinner, but call for reservations since the place fills up quickly. |

| | I was in town on my own so I ate at the bar. Service was excellent as I was asked often if I needed anything by very friendly and attractive staff. Although the bill was not cheap neither was the fare - ranging from a delicious foie gras torchon through a perfect elk strip loin to a mouthwatering orange panacotta. The range of drinks was more than acceptable and I left very pleased with the experience. |

| | I’ve being working in the restaurant business for a while now and I like to get around to the restaurants, entering Divino's was a rush the hustle bustle of a down town restaurant was enthusing, the open final pre area was awesome it set the mood for the restaurant, the food was great I still don’t know how they come up with the crazy combinations tastes. After our meal we had a tour from our friend…who was the chef at the time, the restaurant is beautiful all three floors are very nice and match the ambiance and food. I will go there again and again. |
