DOWNTOWN. The works of contemporary local, Canadian and Native Inuit artists are featured in this prominent gallery located in the former provincial courthouse. The works of British Columbia painter Emily Carr (1871-1945), Canada's famous "Group of Seven," and European masters are displayed in exhibitions in the gallery's permanent collection. A Children's Gallery offers art workshops while other programming includes interpretive performances, art demonstrations and guided tours. |
