Description:
Founded in 1914 by community leaders who hoped to beautify Oak Park, this conservatory's 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor greenery includes botanical specimens from around the world. Among its created venues are Tropic House, Fern House, Desert House, and Herb, Prairie, and Gazebo Gardens. In addition to special seasonal events, weekly plant and garden workshops and clinics are sponsored. Tours for groups of 10 or more are available by reservation.
