Description:
In spite of a somewhat questionable moniker, this off-the-beaten-path restaurant is a worthy member of Edmonton's thriving Greek dining scene. Indeed, the house specialty, Kleftico (roasted lamb), consistently wins accolades from reviewers and patrons alike. Other good things to try include spanakopita, saganaki, moussaka, and the earthy, rich stifado. Be sure to save room for an after-dinner treat: the baklava is sweet and flaky, but you'd be wise to sample something a little different, such as Bougatsa (custard-filled phyllo pastry sprinkled with cinnamon), or Milopita (spiced apples and raisins under crispy pastry).
