Description:
In April 1908, Edmonton installed an automatic telephone exchange, streamlining communications and bypassing the need for live operators. This unique museum tells the history of telephony and telecommunications technology here and around the world, through exhibits of historic equipment and vintage photos. You can see some of the earliest phones, including wooden and Bakelite models, and examples of virtually every style ever made. There's even a Mickey Mouse phone from the 1970s.
