Description:
This remarkable cathedral was first built in 1807, although it was later replaced with a larger building in 1832. Fires destroyed two subsequent buildings, prompting the congregation to build the present structure in the popular English Gothic Revival style of the mid-19th century. The present cathedral opened in 1853 and features Canada's tallest steeple, beautiful stained glass windows, and tributes to Toronto's Anglican faithful. The gift shop is generally open during the middle part of the day, every day except Friday.
