Description:
Among 529's distinctions is Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, bestowed for the restaurant's inventory of over 18,000 bottles. Housed in an elegant 1912 mansion, it's also one of the finest for patio dining. The carpaccio is top notch, as you'd expect, but for something a little different, start with grilled beef sausage with coriander chutney or maple-smoked steelhead trout. Then, in traditional steakhouse style, your waiter presents a tray from which you select your preferred cut of Canada Prime grade beef. Rack of lamb, veal and fresh fish are also available, and just as good. Sides are sized to share – try the sweet potato mash with maple-pecan butter.
