Description:
This attractive church, built about 1730, was modeled after Santa Casa de Lorette in Italy. Since its construction, the church has served the Huron-Wendat nation.
Although a fire destroyed portions of the church in 1862, the interior and all its furnishings were spared, so much of the artwork and liturgical objects that you see today date from the 1700s and earlier.
