Description:
In 1987 Steve (Piccolo) Hambling took a trip to Italy. While there, he learned the art of making Italian ice cream, called Gelato. Upon returning to Ottawa, he opened his first Piccolo Grande store at this location. Today, tourists and locals alike flock to this neat little shop to enjoy the myriad flavours, all of which are made with special ingredients imported from Italy. Step in for lunch, and you can precede your Gelato experience with a freshly made panini or light salad. Although Piccolo Grande is open year-round, hours are shortened during the cold winter months, so call ahead!
