Description:
Specializing in the artwork of Canada's Native Americans, this gallery has a real local-flavor ambience, colored by themes of wildlife and the Rocky Mountains. It has been in existence for approximately 30 years and carries a wide selection of bold artwork and sensuous stone sculptures. Jade carvings, bronze sculptures, and jewelry (ammolite, turquoise) also make an appearance, along with a plethora of wall art that revels in graphic color contrasts and flowing lines. Among the notable artists represented are Norval Morrisseau, Doris Cyrette, Jackson Beardy, and artists of the First Nations Group of Seven. Stylistically, this art is unique to the area and continues to increase in popularity.
