Description:
RIVER NORTH. This diminutive Irish pub draws a mix of locals that like to swill Harp and Guinness and listen to the jukebox as they relax in front of the fireplace. The menu includes a mix of basic bar eats, including burgers, appetizers, salads, and sandwiches. Of course, many of the items are Irish in nature, like the Irish stew and the corned beef sandwich. |

Description:
MAGNIFICENT MILE. This tavern boasts quite an interesting history. It was made popular by a "Saturday Night Live" sketch in which short-order cooks yell "cheezborger." Even before the humorous SNL bit, however, the place had quite a reputation. The original owner, William Sianis, apparently cursed the Cubs' owners because of their refusal to allow his billy goat into the stands. So far, the curse has stood strong – the Cubs haven't won a championship since. Despite its fame, the bar is pretty basic in nature, focusing on good beer and, what else, cheeseburgers! |

MAGNIFICENT MILE. The Roof lives up to its name with impressive views of the Chicago skyline from the 27th floor of theWit Hotel. An outdoor lounge lets patrons soak in the sun on warmer days, while an indoor area (complete with fireplace) offers some respite from the brutal winter winds. The stainless steel and gray accents exude industrial cool, but plush lounge chairs and low tables keep the atmosphere light and enjoyable. Guests can listen to the grand piano or spy on the city below with a telescope. |

RIVER NORTH. Although HOB features live blues every night at 10pm, it's far from being just a blues place. National, international, and local groups of all musical stylings show up to play in the intimate concert hall with great acoustics. The multi-floored complex is decorated in a funky juke joint-meets-the-opera house style that features folk and Outsider art. Numerous opera boxes offer great views, and the Foundation Room (members only) is a luxurious treat. |

Keep in mind, this place stays rather busy. In fact, they've poured more than 4 million pints of beer and served more than 150 tons of wings since opening in 1992. |
