Bymark
(Restaurants - Continental)
66 Wellington St W, Toronto  M5K 1J3 • 416-777-1144
Distance: ~155 m *
Description: DOWNTOWN. Chef Mark McEwen (of North 44° fame) has a loyal following – one meal here, and you'll be joining the fan club. The space itself is attractive: uncluttered, with smooth lines and a muted color palette, it's a nice foil for McEwen's contemporary Continental cuisine. Foie gras is pan-seared and paired with the acidic tang of rhubarb compote and crunch of onion tempura. The signature Bymark Burger is topped with brie, pancetta, grilled porcini, shaved truffles and crisp onion rings. USDA Prime steaks, scallops with crab ravioli, whole roasted sea bream with fennel confit – it's all good. Each dish on the menu has a by-the-glass wine suggestion. Dinner is undeniably pricey, but lunch is just as good with less wallet impact.

Canoe
(Restaurants - Canadian)
66 Wellington St W Toronto Dominion Bank Tower, 54th Floor, Toronto  M5K 1H6 • 416-364-0054
Distance: ~156 m *
Description: DOWNTOWN. The view isn't the only far-reaching aspect of Canoe. The contemporary Canadian menu may take its cue from fresh regional produce, but preparation and flavor combinations are globally inspired. From appetizers such as seared bluefin tuna with wasabi caviar, straight through to desserts like ricotta-hazelnut blintz accompanied by lindenberry preserves and maple-chai ice cream, the international influence is unmistakable. Traditional steaks and chops are also excellent, and sides are always inventive and flavorful.

(Restaurants - American)
120 Adelaide St W, Toronto  M5H 1T1 • 416-364-6600
Distance: ~440 m *
