Description:
Toronto kicks off a month of holiday festivities with a tree lighting ceremony the last weekend of November. The buildings surrounding Nathan Phillips Square are decorated with red, white and green lights, making the display even more cheerful. For three weekends, visitors can also enjoy free Saturday evening concerts, fireworks and ice skating. Several neighborhoods join in the fun with their own unique light displays. The event culminates with a big outdoor New Year’s Eve bash. |

Description:
WinterCity is a three-part celebration of the season, with a wide array of free indoor and outdoor performances and activities. "Wild on Winter" events are outdoors and include ice sculptures, ice skating, concerts and shows, fireworks displays, mostly centered around Nathan Phillips Square. “Warm Up” includes indoor performances and discounted admission to some of the popular attractions in town. Finally, there’s “Winterlicious,” a promotional event where a number of restaurants offer special menus and great deals. |

Description:
This annual festival celebrates the art of the photographic image at more than 200 venues around town. In art galleries, shopping centers, banks, bars and restaurants, hotels and banks you’ll see an amazing variety of pictures from some talented local, national and international photographers. Larger installations are staged at diverse venues such as the MOCCA parking lot, the Drake Hotel and the St. Patrick subway the station platform. There’s also a film festival – most screenings take place at the NFB cinema (150 John St). |
