Description:
AIRPORT - YBA. Service is largely mechanized at this kaiten sushi bar, where small train cars circle the dining room, laden with sushi of all formulations. Diners look for their favorites and pluck the dishes from the train, selecting as many or as few as they want. Color-coded plates then indicate to the servers the prices of each selection, and they tally up the cost and present the bill. The most popular rolls and choices are constantly supplied to the train, but customers are free to make requests to the chef as well. The whole experience is as much entertainment as it is dining, and if you get carried away by the novelty, you may find yourself with quite a hefty tab. So eat well, but eat carefully. |

Description:
AIRPORT - YBA. This Japanese restaurant is a quiet oasis from Banff's bustling downtown. It's also much-frequented by Asian tourists, so you can be sure that the food is skillfully and authentically prepared. Shabu-shabu is a popular choice, along with tempura, sukiyaki and teriyaki. The sushi is also delicious, and you can sample it at the bar or at your own table. Hot pots make an appearance on the menu too, as do combination dinners that allow you to partake of several tasty dishes. Make sure to look them over before you make a final decision. |

Description:
AIRPORT - YBA. Comfortable and bright, this restaurant features a bank of windows that looks out across downtown Banff and the mountains beyond. The decor isn't authentically Asian, but the cuisine certainly is. Created with fresh ingredients, each dish is tempting and well-seasoned. Sushi and sashimi, prepared with an impeccable attention to detail, are perennial favorites, but tempura selections, noodle dishes, and hot pots are also good choices. A variety of seafood entrees and steaks are also available for those who crave something a little less exotic. |
