10Best Continental
Post Hotel Dining Room
(Restaurants - Continental)
200 Pipestone Rd, PO Box 69, Lake Louise  T0L 1E0 • 403-522-3989 • 877-661-1586
Distance: ~2.650 km *
Description: Intimate, elegant dining beneath a beamed ceiling is the hallmark of this fabulous restaurant. The menu maintains a European sensibility while incorporating fresh local ingredients into the mix. Salmon, lamb, venison and Alberta beef make for succulent entrees, and the veal medallions are incredible, served with a brandy cream sauce and nutmeg-tinged quenelles. Desserts are equally as satisfying; the creme brulee with fresh berries is light, smooth and delicious. A terrific wine list offers numerous vintages to complement any meal. Regularly awarded for its efforts, the restaurant has received accolades from both the Wine Spectator and DiRoNA. Jackets are optional.

Truffle Pigs Bistro
(Restaurants - Continental)
318 Stephen Ave, Field  V0A 1G0 • 250-343-6462
Distance: ~19.066 km *
Description: Truffle Pigs is a bit of a curiosity, but what a find! It's tiny, utterly charming and ridiculously friendly. And the food is gourmet quality, a big surprise in such a small town (population about 300). The absolute best quality ingredients (usually organic and local) are used in every creation, from soup to dessert. Appetizer options might include sumptuous wild morel manicotti or steamed mussels in Dijon white wine cream sauce; main course selections run the gamut from vegetable curry to beef bourguignon to buffalo ribs. The lunch menu is more casual but every bit as satisfying. Those with a sweet tooth may find themselves craving the Pigs' house-baked treats for years!
