PLAISANCE. Learn about the development of the Plaisance community at this interesting information center, located just off Route 148. Nestled between Montebello and Ottawa, this area has actually seen three incarnations of settlement: an aboriginal village, a North Nation Mills mill village and the current town. Exhibits in the center chronicle the area's development and include scale models of the three different settlements, artifacts found in the area and historical documents.
