Description:
MONTEBELLO. One of the reasons why Le Château has so many return guests is the wealth of activities offered here each season. In the winter, people head to the Ski Shop to rent snowmobiles, go cross-country skiing, or even do a little curling. In the summer, the Sports Chalet, situated between the hotel and the Manoir Papineau, is always a-bustle with activity. From croquet, volleyball and badminton, to water sports, bicycling and mini golf, all types of warm weather activities can be arranged here. To the delight of the resort's more adventurous guests, all-terrain vehicle rentals are available for those wanting to explore Kenauk in style. |

Description:
Great for families with young children, the 1500-acre Park Oméga affords several opportunities to see and learn how wild animals live in their natural habitats. From the relative comfort of your own automobile, you'll make your way past rivers, hills and dells – all the while spotting different types of Canadian wildlife. Among the park's furrier residents are red deer, black bear, bison, wapiti and moose. In the summer, park admission also includes their popular "Birds of Prey" show. Make sure you take your camera with you, for the photo opportunities here are endless. |

Description:
PLAISANCE. The Plaisance Waterfall, which cascades more than 200 feet, is only about 10 miles west of Montebello on Route 148. The falls, located in the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve, are a perfect place to enjoy a picnic or brisk afternoon walk. Make sure you bring two things: a good pair of shoes (it gets a little slick in places) and your camera. |
