Description:
VIEUX QUEBEC. Located in Old Québec, this historic church is the oldest Christian parish north of Mexico. Over the course of the Basilica's 300-plus years, it has weathered fierce storms, stood firm during bombardments, and was even reduced to rubble after British bombing in 1759 – making it one of Québec's more durable historic sites. Reconstruction efforts have returned it to its previous glorious state, and visitors are welcome to enter the church and view the paintings and ecclesiastical treasures housed therein. |

Description:
VIEUX QUEBEC. This beautiful Anglican cathedral, completed in 1804, was funded in part by King George III. Time your visit right, and you'll get to see one of their special exhibits, perhaps even the cathedral treasure, which includes silverware donated by George III. (Bells were removed in June 2006 for restoration in England.) |

Description:
VIEUX QUEBEC. In 1850, Marie-Josephte Fitzbach opened a refuge for women. The goal was to help women who were without support or who were just released from prison. Fitzbach and her colleagues became known as the Soeurs du Bon Pasteur, and the group has provided a much needed service ever since. This museum details the early days, and is as much social history as religious history, but it's compelling no matter how you look at it. |

Description:
LORETTEVILLE. This attractive church, built about 1730, was modeled after Santa Casa de Lorette in Italy. Since its construction, the church has served the Huron-Wendat nation.
Although a fire destroyed portions of the church in 1862, the interior and all its furnishings were spared, so much of the artwork and liturgical objects that you see today date from the 1700s and earlier.
