Description:
SAINT-JEAN BAPTISTE. The Plains of Abraham, named for farmer Abraham Martin who grazed his cattle here in Quebec's earliest days, is perhaps best known as the site of two pivotal battles of the Seven Years War (a.k.a. the French and Indian War). Throughout the park there are kilometers of meandering trails punctuated by numerous monuments and memorials commemorating these and other battles, along with several other attractions. During the summer months, Abraham's Bus provides a narrated tour of the park that everyone will find interesting (a special "Summer Package" rate covers admission to all of the park's attractions, including Abraham's Bus). During the winter, 15km of trails are groomed for Nordic skiing, and equipment rental is available. Call 418-648-4212 for recorded trail condition information. |

Other warm-weather activities include go-karts, climbing walls, a fun trampoline park, miniature golf, rafting and canoeing and hiking trails. In the winter, the water park transforms into a Winter Playground: waterslides convert to high-speed ice slides, hiking paths morph into skating paths, and 17 lifts quickly whisk you up for the next thrilling descent.
