Barracuda Grill
(Restaurants - American)
5 Burnaby Hill, Hamilton  HM 12 • 441-292-1609
Description: PEMBROKE PARISH. A contemporary restaurant serving contemporary food, Barracuda Grill is a good choice when you're not quite sure what you're in the mood for! Appetizers run the gamut from gravlax flatbread and Asian-inspired tuna tartare to wasabi-pea crusted calamari and scallops and prawns with pumpkin seed pesto. Main courses follow suit, with standouts including roasted seabass with chorizo and wild mushrooms, island spiced kurobuta pork chops, and cinnamon-chipotle rubbed buffalo rib eye.

Blu
(Restaurants - American)
97 Middle Rd Belmont Hills Golf Club  WK 06 • 441-232-2323 • 441-236-6400
Description: WARWICK PARISH. Although it bills itself as a "light steak house," Blu is much more. The Belmont Hills Golf Club restaurant does indeed feature steaks, and good ones at that, but the variety of alternatives is refreshing – this is no stodgy, old-fashioned steak place. Many of the dishes have a touch of the American Southwest with ingredients like tomatillos, jalapenos, chipotles, fresh salsas and black beans, but you'll also find Asian, Italian and Bermudian flavors. Start with shrimp ceviche, then try cilantro pesto black cod, macadamia-crusted wild salmon with pineapple-poblano salsa, or an ancho-coffee rubbed certified Angus filet mignon. Excellent, and growing, wine list.

You might be skeptical that a kitchen with its hands in that many cuisines could do any of them well, but these folks do an exemplary job.
