Description:
SMITHS PARISH. Wander along the paths through this 60-acre park, and you're likely to see swooping longtails – Bermuda's national bird – in addition to migrating falcons, egrets and geese. In the early evenings, look for herons hunting crabs in the park's brackish ponds. Visitors are asked to keep to the paths. |

Description:
SANDYS PARISH. Forty-three acres, preserved and maintained, bring to life a piece of Bermuda's past. Many indigenous plants and animals thrive in the sanctuary, which also encompasses a rustic chapel built in the 1620s. After a day at the beach, head here to enjoy some quiet time and reflect during the Gregorian chants, which are presented Mon-Fri at 3pm. |
