Description:
ST. JAMES PARISH. The original Daphne's, in London's trendy Chelsea, has a sibling in Barbados! The island's restaurant is every bit as trendy, although the décor is sleeker and more contemporary. The food, of course, is fabulous. The menu is brimming with modern Italian dishes like shrimp and zucchini flower risotto, pappardelle with rabbit ragout and black olives, and mahi mahi with peperonata and fried zucchini. Selecting just one or two may prove difficult! Desserts are not to be missed – coffee and mascarpone charlotte, iced berries with hot white chocolate sauce, and millefeuilles with strawberries and chantilly cream are just a few of the options. Good selection of cocktails and Italian wines, too. |

Description:
ST. JAMES PARISH. Il Tempio's Italian chef and owner take pains to offer the most authentic food. It's so good, in fact, that Luciano Pavarotti has dubbed it "the best Italian food in Barbados." Lofty praises aside, the restaurant does indeed serve some pretty wonderful food. For a taste of the old country, try the fettuccine alla carbonara or veal with onion and black grapes in chardonnay sauce. You'll be glad you did! |

Description:
ST. JAMES PARISH. Not only is Olives a great place to enjoy an upscale Mediterranean/Caribbean meal, it's also a trendy nightspot. The restaurant downstairs serves fantastic thin-crust pizzas, fresh pastas, and wonderful daily specials such as yellowfin tuna steaks with ratatouille vegetables. The upstairs lounge has all the hallmarks of a hip hangout – potted plants, wood floors, cozy seating and a relaxed atmosphere. An abbreviated menu is served upstairs, but the food is just as good. |
