Description:
ST. JAMES PARISH. This second-floor eatery has taken its name to heart – everything is blue, from the tablecloths to the bathroom tiles. It might have appeared overdone, but in fact it's surprisingly appealing. The laid-back atmosphere is great for a casual lunch of soup and salad, pâté or the fresh catch of the day. Prices are budget friendly, too. |

Description:
CHRIST CHURCH PARISH. This festive Tex-Mex spot serves all of your favorites, from nachos to burritos, plus a good selection of steaks and burgers. But they also offer up terrific margaritas, about 15 different flavors, rimmed with Bajan sugar instead of salt. Plan to arrive in time to take advantage of one of their two happy hours (6pm-7pm and 10pm-11pm). |

Description:
ST. MICHAEL PARISH. Chefette is a small fast food chain, and there are 14 locations all over the island. It's not particularly fast, but the prices are reasonable and the food is quite good. Tasty chicken and chips is the staple offering, but the "broasted" chicken sandwich and the various rotis are also satisfying. Several locations have drive-throughs and playgrounds for the kids, and some also serve pizza, barbecue or ice cream. |

Description:
ST. PETER PARISH. By day, Mannie's is a trendy beach bar serving simple but tasty Caribbean-American fare, fruity cocktails, a wealth of watersports, and comfortable chairs for lounging on the beach. Come nightfall, however, the offerings become more romantic and exotic. The context may be a bit unexpected, but Japanese and Thai food somehow seem appropriate against the backdrop of gentle waves and sandy beach. Sushi, pad-thai, spring rolls, and tod-mun fish cakes with Thai curry paste taste oh-so-good here, no matter how untraditional the setting. |

Description:
ST. PHILIP PARISH. Part of the allure of the Crane Hotel's Zen is the ambiance. It's not unusual to find a Japanese restaurant with a sizable tatami room for groups, but Zen also has several smaller ones for couples and foursomes. Lovely Crane Beach provides an unbeatable view, while the kitchen turns out excellent Thai and Japanese dishes that will leave you thoroughly satisfied. Miso soup and sushi are wonderful; Thai dishes like Tom Yam Kai (hot and sour soup with chicken, lemongrass, lime juice and mushrooms) and Bai Grapaw (prawns stir-fried with extra spicy chili, onion and basil leaves) are authentic and delicious. A brief Continental menu is also available; breakfast and lunch menus are comprised of simple but satisfying and well-prepared American fare. |
