The "mixed plate," as it was called, featured two or three entrees, a scoop of macaroni salad, and "two scoops rice." It was also nutritionally sound. Nowadays, at this colorful, ocean-front eatery, diners may choose from a number of dishes, including coconut prawns, shoyu chicken, kalua pork, and teriyaki beef. Outdoor tables accommodate the crowds, and a full bar serves up cooling beverages. For a taste of local flavor, the Mixed Plate can't be beat. Ask around if you have any doubt. |
