        Description: When originally built for the US Pavilion at Expo '67, Biosphère was the largest geodesic dome in the world. This interactive exhibition displays the ecosystems of the Great Lakes and Saint-Lawrence River regions. The Discovery Hall houses a 16-foot globe that details the importance of water to the world's ecosystems. Guided tours are available.

        Description: This popular attraction was entirely man-made for the 1967 Expo. Features are the beach, Floral Park and casino. Although located in the city, the beach has a water purifying system and is very popular among locals. The Floral Park consists of flower gardens, roses, trees and shrubbery, all surrounded by water. The casino daily draws thousands with its numerous gaming tables and slot machines.

        Description: This 1983 building is the headquarters of the Aluminum Company of Canada and is well known for its atrium. There are three historic row houses, a hotel, and a seven-story, aluminum-clad office structure linked to the beautiful glass atrium. Each of the houses and the structure has a unique story; a museum and an aquarium are also on site. Popular for its architectural design.

        Description: Montréal's signature university, McGill received its charter in 1821 after being endowed and founded by James McGill, a wealthy Scottish immigrant, in 1813. The gift was intended to give English-speaking residents an educational opportunity. Since that time, the university has grown to encompass both the original downtown campus and Macdonald Campus, about 25 miles west of the city. The school now accommodates graduate and undergraduate students and includes 6 teaching hospitals and 17 libraries. Tours of the downtown campus are available by reservation and last about an hour. They're led by students and feature the university's prominent buildings and facilities.

        Description: Montréal derives its name from this centrally-located, wooded mountain, which functions as a park for residents. Designed by Frederic Law Olmsted, the park is popular for local outdoor adventures and both summer and winter activities. From its esplanade, the park affords a stunning view of downtown Montréal and the eastern portion of the city. Located around the park's edges are Mont-Royal Cemetery, Cimeterie Notre-Dame-des-Neiges, the University of Montréal and the neighborhoods of Westmount and Outremont. The cross on the mountain was erected in thanksgiving for receding waters in the midst of the 1642 flood.
