Description:
Arguably Jasper's most popular club, this busy venue is certainly its largest. The space is divided into a pub area and a lounge area. The pub sports framed hockey jerseys, mounted animal heads, and a host of memorabilia. Locals come here throughout the day to drink, play pool and watch TV. The lounge draws a mixed crowd and features plenty of table and bar seating and a stage for live bands. It has its own bar, which serves up plenty of beer and kicks into gear later in the evening. When bands perform (usually three or four times a week), they play rock or disco. When DJs spin tunes for dancing, it's generally top 40. If you need food to soak up the alcohol you've ingested, the menu tips heavily toward soups, salads, sandwiches and appetizers. |

Catering to a more mature clientele, Downstream has a rustic interior of oak and brick and features both smoking and non-smoking lounges. Occasionally, live entertainers perform blues or jazz numbers. A host of alcoholic drinks is available, including European beers, martinis, wine and highballs. An innovative take on the club menu is the Italian flair that characterizes the pub food selections. |

Set with leather sofas and other Arts and Crafts-styled furnishings, the relaxed venue boasts a large stone fireplace that sets an immediate mood. The lounge adjoins the hotel restaurant and offers a wide range of wines, liqueurs, draft beers and cocktails. If you can't give up technology, a big screen TV will be your unfaltering companion. If, on the other hand, you simply want solitude, it's easy to lose yourself in the glowing embers, watching them shift and crumble as you nurse a drink and let the cold winds blow outside. |

Description:
This sophisticated lounge adjoins the Edith Cavell Dining Room and features the same salmon-colored walls and architectural details. It also boasts a bar of stone and polished wood. The intimate room is a great place to relax and close the day. It offers alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees and teas (the Edith Cavell is freshly brewed java spiked with Grand Marnier, Kahlua and Amaretto). Light snacks are served elegantly in martini glasses: the Caspian combines sturgeon caviar, baby potatoes, crème fraîche and chives. Other options include Thai chicken, Atlantic lobster, steak au poivre and tiger prawns. The decadent dessert menu features both macerated fresh fruit and Irish chocolate mousse. |
