Welcome to Banff Fishing Unlimited, Alberta's year round guiding and outfitting service for Fly fishing, Lake Trout charters, and Ice fishing in and around Banff National Park. As one of the areas only year round fishing specialists, (Longest running Guide service on the Upper Bow River), we have unrivaled experience and local knowledge of the wide range of lakes and rivers in this region. With over 17 years of business experience, providing successful guided outtings for our clients, we are confident we can give you a memorable and exceptional fishing adventure. The scenery is fantastic and the fishing is great. Our service includes everything you need to enjoy your alpine fishing experience.
You must obtain a National Park fishing license (available at cost from us). You will be provided with all necessary fishing gear, including lures and custom guide-tied flies, complete fly-fishing or spin-fishing outfits, waders for river fishing, foul weather clothing, and spare clothing. All trips are private for you and your group. We will customize your fishing experience to meet your specifications. Our licensed and professional guides are expert teachers catering to all skill levels, whether novice or expert. This includes all general fishing instruction for novice fly or spin fishing. We feature cold water alpine fishing primarily for trout. All fish are wild (not stocked), and include the following species: Brown trout, Lake trout, Rainbow trout, Rocky Mountain whitefish, Cut-throat trout, Brook trout, and Bull trout. We actively encourage and practice catch and release. Please visit our web site or call the Concierge for the different programs that we offer. Season typically starts Mid May until Mid September.
Meals are not provided, however, a boxed lunch can be purchased from our Chateau Deli, open 24-hours.
