Description:
Americans Henry Phipps Ross and his wife Sarah summered in St. Andrews for more than 40 years of their marriage. They purchased the 1824 Georgian mansion known as "Chestnut Hall" in 1938 specifically as a museum for their collection of artifacts gathered over a lifetime of world travel. Handcrafted furniture, oriental rugs and paintings by American and Canadian artists are some of the beautiful decorative arts in this house museum. Tours are available in French and English.
