Description:
Sri Lankan restaurants are not commonly found in most North American cities, so Ceylonta is a welcome addition to Ottawa's dining scene. Similar to East Indian cuisine, Sri Lankan cooking incorporates complex curries and Maldive fish (cured tuna), resulting in multi-layered flavors that can be fiery hot at times, delicate at others. If you already enjoy East Indian food, there will be plenty here that sounds appealing, but branch out and try a kathu roti (stir fried chopped flat bread, veggies and meat) or a string hoppers dish (noodles with meat and veggies in a spicy sauce). Lots of vegetarian choices.
